Photos from Tuesday

Here are some photos from our road safety walk on Tuesday.  Have a look and see if you can tell where they were taken!  Have a think about one or two of the questions and leave a comment with your replies.

1) Why do you think the kerb has been dropped here?
2) Why do you have to be careful of dropped kerbs if you walking (or running) along the pavement?

 3) What do the two rows of broken lines mean?

4) Why do we have the same lines as these outside the entrance to the school?

5) You can't see what's on these two signs but what could be on them?  Think about the shapes of the signs - there are lots of possibilities!

6) What can you tell me about the two signs you can see in this picture?

  1. 1) I think the kerb has been dropped there because maybe if an old lady/man wants to go somewhere then it would probabbly be more easier for her/him to walk on the dropped kerb.

    2) You have to be safe on the kerb since if you're running and you're just running on the high kerb, then all of a sudden there a low kerb then you could get hurt. Since you didn't know the dropped kerb was even there in the first place!
