We made treasure maps on Tuesday. Here are a couple of good examples from Anisa and Zahur. Which geographical features can you see on these maps? Both maps have Xs "marking the spot" (telling you where the treasure's buried). Can you identify the grid reference for the treasure on each map? What's your rule for remembering which way round grid reference co-ordinates go?
Anisa
Zahur
I like the posters. It looks like a REAL pirate map. The tinting and scrunching up the paper makes the map look more realistic.
ReplyDeleteI really like Zahurs map as it is very clear and neatly presented. However it is very funny and fantastic. It looks like a real map and makes me never put it down so well down Zahur.

ReplyDeleteWell done Year 5, very impressive. In the olden days Pirates must have spent ages making all their maps. I'll race you to I-2 on Anisa's map.
